Faith House is a safe house, a shelter, a home, so much more than a building. We are a Christian ministry committed to being family for African young women without peaceful home situations.

Faith House was founded in 2007 as a response to a pressing need evident in a small number of students in Nairobi, Kenya. As director of the Rafiki Girls Center I saw a group of girls striving to further their education and spiritual growth who were neither safe nor encouraged in their homes. Faith House was conceived as a home, not an institution, where these girls could live safely, experience peaceful family life,  discover their interests and gifts, and pursue their educational dreams.

Faith House provides opportunities for family, for education, and for training for young women who might otherwise be struggling to survive. Our goal is that, through the Faith House ministry, the girls will gain the resources, and skills to become self-sufficient contributors to the welfare of their families, their communities, their country and their world.

To date, Faith House has provided shelter for more than 50 Kenyan girls, and helped support them as they work toward completing their secondary education. Of this number, with the support and guidance of the Faith House leadership, 20 students have continued beyond high school and have received either advanced certificates and diplomas or university degrees.
